Hello!

My name is Stella Akua, and it would be a joy to audition for this project! I’ve been working as an actor and voice artist for over ten years since graduating magna cum laude from Brown University. I have completed close to two dozen projects during that time, ranging from stage to short film acting, narrating an educational scientific video that went viral, to performing in a popular web series, to live singing, composing, and recording original music that has gone viral as well.

I have won a Best Actress Award in Brooklyn, New York for the short film Her Being Home, for which I also composed the score -- and a Best Ensemble Performance Award at IndieWorks Best of Fest.

My acting style is frequently described as authentic, versatile, or enchanting, and my voice is often described as enriching or otherworldly.

Past clients I’ve worked with include Steppenwolf Theatre, SciToons, Kym Moore, Chicago Dramatists, Rotate Theater, Carl Hancock Rux, and more.
